I grieve, I mourn and I worry. I compartmentalize, I steel myself. It’s all I can do while I stare down machines of hatred, greed and fear that seem to be moving across the world.
In Tianmen Square, Beijing 1989 the footage and image of a man standing in front of a line of tanks spread across the world, a symbol of small resolve in front of remorseless oppression.
The act of one person made a difference.
As a Pagan I believe in the interconnectedness of all things. What we do matters, has a ripple effect. Just because you don’t see it for yourself doesn’t mean that your actions are pointless no matter how small.
I know I am not alone in my feelings of horror and powerlessness. But I remember the beloved Carrie Fisher’s words “Take your broken heart and turn it into art. ” So I offer this t-shirt, a spell, manifestation. All proceeds go to the ACLU in Minneapolis.
